Corona Virus Day 17: Riding out

Today the weather was glorious. The sun shone down from blue skies with a slight breeze. That also meant my first proper bicycle ride of the year.
As I’ve become older, I’ve become more and more of a sunshine rider. I simply don’t want to spend a couple of hours on the bike in shitty weather being miserable. Life is too short for such things.
And with how the weathers’ been the last couple of months, it’s only now it have started to make sense go bicycling.

So up and away I went. And maybe it went too good. Had a nice tailwind, which meant I was flying and eating up one kilometre after the other. However, it also meant I had a really annoying headwind when I had to go back.
All in all, I spent around 2.5 hours on the bike and rode nearly 50 km. Not bad for my first ride of the year. Though I was pretty knackered afterwards. Nothing a cold beer or two couldn’t fix.

This is part of a series of posts I’ve written about the Corona virus and how it have impacted our society. Equal parts news, observations and thoughts. See the rest of the posts here.
