Corona Virus Day 18: The cold north

Today the weather turned. We got hit by a cold front and it got noticeably colder. Not only just the temperature, but also the wind. Really glad I had my bike ride yesterday, because today would have been too cold with all the wind chill.

With it being a Sunday, also meant some nice relaxation. I slept longer than normal and as we also changed to summertime today, I was only up and about at midday. Long time since that happened.
With most of the day gone, I figured “fuck it”, might as well don’t do shit today. So I went down to shop for dinner, bought a piece of cow, threw it in the sous vide and made potato gratin with lots of cheese and heavy cream. Not the classic Sunday roast, but eh – good enough for me.

I’ve not really been focusing on the Corona virus the last couple of days, which have been entirely on purpose. It’s way too easy to get sucked into a bleak place with all the terrible news and misery happening all over the world. Sometimes you just have to block it all out and focus on something else. Which I’ve been doing. Might return to it in the coming days, if something newsworthy pops up.

This is part of a series of posts I’ve written about the Corona virus and how it have impacted our society. Equal parts news, observations and thoughts. See the rest of the posts here.
