2019 – a review of a year where I went full adventure mode

For me, 2019 was a year of adventure.

I visited the USA. Twice.

That is by far the number one thing that stands out when I look back on the year.

First time I went to Las Vegas for 2 weeks. And yes, staying in Vegas for 2 weeks is crazy – I know. It’s just such an extreme city with so much to see and do, not to mention take in. Sensory overload is unavoidable but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The second time I spent 4 weeks driving around Florida and The Keys. A glorious trip with memories that will last a lifetime. Highlights includes swimming with manatees, sailing and snorkeling at The Keys, watching a NFL match and visiting Universal Studios.

2019 was also the year where I got a new job. I quit my job at TRIC Solutions and joined Telenor. Quite an experience going from a small company with 7 people to working for one of the biggest telcos in Denmark.

I also got glasses last year. In hindsight (pun intended) way overdue. Really surprised me how fast I got used to wearing glasses. Although it sucks when it is raining and you can’t see shit.

Music plays a big part in my life, which translates to concerts. Mastodon at Train in Aarhus was fantastic. I’ve been a big fan of Mastodon for years and seeing them live was quite an experience. Although I was slightly bummed they didn’t play The Motherload.
Foo Fighters shined at Fængslet in Horsens. While not a band I usually listens too, the opportunity was too good to pass up. No regrets at all.
One last honorable mention goes to the annual DJ Sash concert at Karolinelund in Aalborg. Always a blast and great fun.

2020

Looking into 2020, I already have some things lined up.

A Rammstein concert in Aarhus.

A trip to southern Germany.

A trip to Norway.

And finally a trip to Bahamas if everything goes as planned.

Yeah, 2020 looks like it will be quite all right.
