Trying to catch a break from all the Corona virus, I’ve been on some good long walks the last couple of days. The weather have been really nice lately, with the sun shining down from mostly blue skies. It’s crisp and it is still cold outside, but if you can find a place without wind, it’s really nice and warm. Already got a slight tan. Better remember sunscreen, otherwise I end up with an early sunburn. Wouldn’t want that.
I’m not the only one outside, but taking the weather into consideration, it’s surprisingly few. Maybe people are getting surprised by how cold it actually is (no more than 5-6 degrees Celsius) or maybe they are finally starting to listen to what our government have been saying for the last two weeks.
I’ve also been enjoying some interesting beers lately. Amundsen Brewery got a “Dessert in a can” series. Which, as the name implies, literally is dessert in a can. Just in beer form. With flavors like rocky road ice cream and coconut choc chip cookie, you can expect a flavor explosion. The aroma is intense and powerful and it tastes really good too. However, it’s the kind of beer you only drink one off in a single setting. It is simply too intense and overpowering to hammer a six-pack of those boys. Not to mention, too expensive too, with a cost of 55 Kr. for a single beer.
Being foresighted, I stocked up, so I’m set for the next couple of weeks. Would be terrible to run out of my new favorite beer.
Also bought the “new” Assassin’s Creed Odyssey as it was on sale. Pleasantly surprised and really been enjoying it so far. The setting is gorgeous and the main character, Kassandra, is kicking ass left and right.
Might write a more detailed review later on. Who knows.
All in all, it’s nice to get a break from all the bad news. It is too easy to fall into a vicious circle and get depressed by all the terrible news. Have to break that and remind myself to also enjoy the good things in life. There’s another day tomorrow and the world isn’t going under, even though the going might get tough for some time.
This is part of a series of posts I’ve written about the Corona virus and how it have impacted our society. Equal parts news, observations and thoughts. See the rest of the posts here.
