Today marks the beginning of a new week. Going to be interesting how that turns out. We’re only 12 weeks in and already 2020 is crazy.
Going to work from home the entire week. Already started on it last week, but that didn’t really count as we had to get in the groove and figure out how to make it work. Now it will stand its test.
To avoid cabin-fever, I went for a walk after I was done with work. There was surprisingly many people out and about, but the weather was also quite nice. It seems like people isn’t quite taking it as serious as they should. Saw lots of groups standing closely together, people playing soccer, running together and so on. Can only hope people get their shit together and starts to realize how serious it is.
Other than that, it was a typical Monday, with the usual Monday-blues. SAS went on the news and told they we”re sending home about 90% of their entire workforce, which equals to 10.000 employees. The airlines are having a hard time these days. Only going to be a matter of time before some of them go under.
Work also went fine. Much of my work is people-oriented, which means I spend a lot of time talking to people. I foresee that becoming a problem, as communicating over mail, phone or video just isn’t the same as seeing people in person. Only time will tell how it goes. I just hope it doesn’t last longer than those two weeks, though I worry it’s going to take a couple of months before we’re back to normal.
This is part of a series of posts I’ve written about the Corona virus and how it have impacted our society. Equal parts news, observations and thoughts. See the rest of the posts here.
