Done and done

I know I haven’t been active lately, but I’ve been busy writing my bachelor thesis and taking care of an unexpected exam. The school had somehow “forgotten” we had to take an exam in some elective courses, so we got a heads up a week before we had to take the exam. Luckily it was a multiple-choice test and we got the entire curriculum beforehand, but still. Not the best experience, but I passed with high grades so can’t really complain.
Regarding my bachelor thesis, I wrote it in collaboration with Cembrit.

I ended up writing about how I optimized and automated parts of their onboarding procedure. I must have done something right, as I got a 12 for it. I was mildly surprised and didn’t really believe it when I first heard it. But my teacher and censor said I had written a good report and answered all their questions in a satisfactory way.

With that out of the way, I graduated and now got a bachelors degree in product development and integrative technology (have yet to see an education with a longer title than mine).

Now I’m just looking for a job, which I hopefully will land in the near future. I got a part-time job lined up from Monday and then 6 weeks ahead, which is better than nothing at all.
I had really hoped to get a certification in PRINCE2, but as the course starts on this friday and my union is changing IT-systems, I’m out of luck. I can’t send in the papers necessary to prove that I’m eligible for the course due to the changeover. Really bummed about it, as it would be really nice to have that certification – a lot of companies prefer a certified project leader over one without a certificate. I’ll just have to wait until the next course, which starts in about 2 months time.

So if any of you reading this know someone who know someone who is looking for an IT consultant or a project manager, feel free to contact me.
