New job! Finally!

New job

After around 100 applications, a handful of job interviews, a course in PRINCE2, several weeks of part time work and 1 month long internship, I’ve finally gotten a job! To say I’m happy and relieved is an understatement.

I have officially been unemployed for around 8 months, but I wouldn’t exactly say I have been idling away my time. I have gotten a certification in PRINCE2 and worked several weeks at my old student job at Nordjysk Computerservice, but still – 8 months is a long time when every day consists of waking up, working out, checking for new jobs and then spending the rest of the doing daily chores, reading, gaming and waiting for friends / girlfriend to get of from work / school. Really glad that part is over.
Though I still have to get used to I don’t have as much free time as before. Oh well, I suppose that’s how it is when you join the adult world again and get a 9-5 job.

TRIC Solutions

I’m going to work – wait, let me rephrase that. I’m working as a project manager (as I’ve already started when I’m writing this) at a company called TRIC Solutions. They specialize in Magento webshops and e-commerce. It’s an exciting field to work with, where I have to use my business acumen in conjunction with my IT knowledge. I’m learning something new everyday, whether it be regarding technology, e-commerce, marketing or something entirely else.

The guys I’m working with are really cool and laid back. We’re a small company, 4 persons in total, including me. So I’m wearing a lot of hats doing different stuff. Not two days are the same, which is very refreshing and exciting.

I’m really humbled that I’ve been given the opportunity and I’m planning to make the most of it. You make your own luck as they say and I’m planning to learn everything I can and grow in this job, both personally and professionally.
