New PR (again)

New personal record – again. Just as last time, it was on my dead-lift.

I surprised myself by doing 180 kg. The form was good and it went pretty smoothly. I also tried to do 190 as I felt I had more in the tank, but I failed.

All in all I’m pretty satisfied. Not the fastest progress seen, but I have started to focus more on my form, rather than my ego. No need to set myself up for injuries just because I’m chasing some number. It would be really nice if I could reach 200 kg by the end of the year. Should be realistic, if I focus some more on my dead-lifts in my workouts.

I haven’t really tried to max out my other lifts recently, as I have been focusing on volume and form. Add to the fact that I work out alone 98% percent of the time, which makes it significantly harder to do max lifts without someone spotting. Everything in due time – I’m in no hurry as long as I’m progressing.
